Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I want to be a tutor because I want to inspire students to love learning. I think in order to be successful at school students must understand and love the information they are being taught. Growing up I struggled with school, so I can relate to the wide range of feelings struggling students experience. I have also learned tricks and steps that made learning fun. I am excited to help your student learn to love learning again.
Why should a student pick you?
- I have been an elementary school teacher for 5 years. The first three years of my teaching career I taught in New York and worked with student in grades pre-k to 6th. The last two years I have taught at a charter school in Phoenix. During my tenure there I have taught 1st and 4th grade. I am a certified Elementary School teacher with a minor in History. I also have a Masters Degree from ASU in Reading.
In the past I have taught the following programs; Core Knowledge Curriculum, Literacy Place, Singapore Math, Storytown, and Addision Wesley Math.
Finally, students should pick me as a tutor because I am energetic and fun. I promise to make learning a fun and exciting experience.
Personal Statement:
- The most important thing a teacher can do is to make students love learning. I feel if students look forward to learning every session, teaching is the easy part.
