When our tutors were asked the following questions, this is how they responded:
- Hobbies:
- Yoga, hiking, reading, writing, listening to alternative music, playing with my twin nephews, and entertaining my two little dogs :).
Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I recently finished my Master's degree and I'm anxious to start something new! I tutor my friends, family, and coworkers in writing and editing, but I'd like to help kids polish their skills as well.
Why should a student pick you?
- In public school I was not happy with traditional learning methods so I often created my own.
My bachleor's degree is in English Literature, so I can help you understand the real-life-applicability of your English homework. I work full time designing college courses, specializing in curriculum development for diverse and non-traditional learners. In college, I wrote for and created fashion spreads for a local newspaper, allowing me to merge my passions with my talents. Hopefully I can teach you do the same! :)
Personal Statement:
- You should pick me because I can make learning fun!
Any Last Words?
- In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.
