Why do you want to be a tutor?
- I love working with students to help them be successful. It is wonderful to see students enjoy learning and realize that they can be great. This year I have chosen to work part time in tutoring instead of full time in the classroom. Helping a child develop a love of reading or school is a wonderful way to spend your days.
Why should a student pick you?
- I work hard to find ways to reach each student so that they acquire new skills and enjoy learning at the same time. No child should feel like they can't succeed at school. It is my job to help boost their skills and self esteem. Learning should be fun, so I include a variety of activities and games in each lesson. I have eight years of classroom experience in K-4 and materials to draw from when creating your individualized lesson plans.
Personal Statement:
- Learning should be fun and every child should have the opportunity to feel successful! Every child has the capability to learn, sometimes they just need a little extra support, guidance and practice to reach their potential. I believe every child is unique. They have unique interests, skills and ways of learning. It is my job to figure out how they learn best, where their interests lie and from there how to help them succeed.
Any Last Words?
- The whole art of teaching is only the art of awakening the natural curiosity of young minds for the purpose of satisfying it afterwards--Anatole France
